Winter
is when we need to shore up our immune systems to
get through the cold
and flu season unscathed. We also need to think about
building up lower back energy (in Chinese medicine, this
is the kidney system) to help us deal with winter activities
such as shoveling, skiing and just trudging around in
deep snow and slush. Additionally, many people suffer
from winter allergies and migraines because we are in
doors more and a different kind of dust mite dominates
in cold, dry weather than in warm, moist weather. Finally,
many people find that as daylight lessens depression can
set in more easily. |
